Swimming in Oxytocin: The Science and Sacredness of Loving Touch
Something magical has been happening since I began massaging full-time after my foot injury…
I’ve been swimming in oxytocin.
All day, every day.
Oxytocin, the blissful “love hormone”, is usually associated with sex, breastfeeding, or cuddles. But science now tells us it’s also released through slow, loving touch. It’s the body’s natural bonding chemical, and it does much more than make us feel good: it lowers cortisol (stress), regulates blood pressure, builds trust, strengthens immunity, and even speeds up physical healing.
But here’s the part I find most beautiful: oxytocin doesn’t just flow for the one who receives touch. It flows for the one who gives it, too.
That means in every session, I melt into bliss right alongside you.
In my work, we often begin with self-touch. Hands resting on our own skin, tuning into our breath and sensation. Why? Because connection to ourselves is what opens the floodgates of oxytocin. Before I even lay my hands on you, we’re already attuning, softening, entering the current together.
From there, massage becomes more than technique. It becomes a co-created field where oxytocin is flowing freely through our bodies, rewiring the nervous system. Healing becomes not something we “do,” but something that happens through us.
This is where Tantra meets science. Neuroscience tells us oxytocin deepens bonding and lowers stress. Tantra reminds us it is also the chemical of devotion, of intimacy without agenda, of eros as medicine.
When oxytocin is the foundation, every layer of the session shifts.
The body remembers safety.
The heart remembers trust.
Pleasure becomes nourishment instead of performance.
And whether you come for a Mystic Tantra Massage or an Erotic Massage, oxytocin is always present.
Mystic Tantra Massage is spacious, devotional, and deeply regulating for the nervous system. It helps you feel safe, held, alive, and deliciously connected to your body again.
Erotic Tantra Massage invites more sensual awakening, stirring eros, weaving pleasure with reverence, opening the body to both bliss and tenderness.
Both are nourishing. Both are rooted in oxytocin, presence, and love.
So I invite you to feel into this: what kind of nourishment is your body craving right now? I’d love to swim in oxytocin with you!
Much love,
K xx
