Why disconnection doesn’t come from not caring
Most of the men who come into Tantra counselling in Perth aren’t disconnected because they don’t care. It’s usually the opposite. They care deeply.
About work.
About relationships.
About doing things properly.
But somewhere along the way, that care turns into management.
Managing emotions.
Managing reactions.
Managing how they show up.
And slowly… the body gets left behind.
Not intentionally. Just quietly.
Because feeling everything fully doesn’t always feel safe.
Especially when no one has ever shown you how.
From early on, many of us learn to stay in the mind.
To think things through.
To stay composed.
To not let too much show.
And the body learns to follow.
It tightens when something feels uncertain.
It holds when something feels too much.
And eventually… that holding becomes the baseline.
What Tantra counselling actually feels like
There’s often an idea that Tantra counselling is something spiritual… or something you have to understand. But what I notice in session is much simpler. We slow down.
That’s where it begins.
Not in a dramatic way. Just enough to notice what’s already happening.
Feet touching the ground.
The weight of the body in the chair.
The breath moving… or not moving.
Sometimes there’s nothing obvious at first. Just a quiet sense of “I don’t feel much.”
And that’s okay. Because even that is something real.
And when there’s space for that…
without needing it to change… the body starts to respond.
The body begins to speak when it feels safe
It might look like a small exhale.
A soft drop in the shoulders.
A moment where the eyes close without thinking.
Or it might come through as restlessness.
A need to move.
A sense of discomfort that wasn’t noticed before.
Both are part of the same thing.
The body coming back into awareness.
When the system starts to feel a little safer…what’s been held tends to surface.
Not all at once. Just enough.
Because the body doesn’t rush. It reveals things at the pace it trusts.
And often, what comes up isn’t something new. It’s something that’s been there for a long time.
Just not felt.
Why trying to fix yourself keeps you stuck
A lot of people come in thinking they need to change something.
Be calmer.
Be more confident.
Be less in their head.
But the more you try to fix yourself…
the more you stay in that same pattern of control.
It’s still effort.
Still management.
Still trying to be different.
And the body can feel that.
There’s a subtle tightening that happens when you’re trying to improve yourself.
Like you’re not quite allowed to be as you are.
So instead, we let things be as they are.
Not as a concept. But as something you can feel directly.
Tension… allowed.
Restlessness… allowed.
Even numbness… allowed.
And when there’s space for that… the need to fix starts to soften.
When confidence stops being something you perform
Something shifts when the body begins to feel safer.
Not suddenly. But gradually.
The breath deepens without effort.
The chest softens.
There’s more room inside.
And from there, confidence feels different.
Not something you put on.
Not something you have to hold.
Just something that’s there… when you’re not bracing against yourself.
This is often where intimacy begins to change too.
Because when you can feel yourself…
you can feel someone else more clearly.
Not through effort. But through presence.
Tantra massage Perth: the body remembers through touch
Sometimes this work continues through Tantra massage in Perth.
The body being met through slow, intentional touch… using warm lotion…
not rushed, not directed… just present. And something similar happens.
At first, there can be holding.
A subtle resistance.
A watching.
And then, slowly… the body begins to trust the pace.
The warmth.
The consistency.
The lack of pressure.
And in that space, the same thing unfolds.
Softening.
Not because it was forced. But because it was allowed.
A quiet noticing
There might be moments in your own life where this shows up.
When you’re sitting still… and realise your shoulders are tight.
When your breath feels shallow without reason.
When your mind keeps moving, even when there’s nothing urgent.
Nothing to fix there. Just something to notice.
Maybe even something your body has been carrying quietly for a while.
And sometimes, just noticing that…
is already a small shift.
